And, if you still don’t want to order either, the slow cooker method is also included on the recipe card below, but takes a bit more work. Because you have to boil the noodles and ground the meat. But let’s be honest, most of us have the extra time these days to do it!

Crockpot Pizza Pasta in the Express Crock

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage mild or spicy
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 8 ounces pizza sauce
  • 16 ounces pasta sauce
  • 16 ounces Penne, Ziti, Rotini, etc. 1 box pasta of choice
  • 31/2 cups water
  • 1 5 ounce package pepperonis 30 slices, divided
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese one 8 oz bag , divided
  • 1 can of mushrooms optional

Instructions

Pressure Cooker Mode:

  1. Press the brown/sauté button. Add butter, Italian seasoning and garlic and mix until melted and fragrant approximately 30 seconds. Add the water. Set on Manual for 5 minutes.

  2. Add Italian sausage, season with salt and pepper and cook until no longer pink.

  3. Add pizza and spaghetti sauce to the sausage mixture.

  4. Add noodles and water and stir until pasta is well covered.

  5. Add HALF the cheese and HALF the pepperoni – mix it into the pasta/meat mixture.

  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and pepperoni over the top of the mixture.

  7. Place the lid on lock, set the valve to the sealing position.

  8. Press the Steam button, adjust the time to 5 minutes and press start.

  9. When the timer goes off, do an immediate pressure release and stir. Add half the pepperonis (15) and half the mozzarella cheese. Stir and add remaining pepperonis (15) and cheese. Place the lid on and let warm and melt for about 10-15 minutes and serve.

Slow Cooker Mode:

  1. Add butter, Italian seasoning and garlic to a pan on the stove and cook until fragrant about 30 seconds. Add Italian sausage and cook until no longer pink; drain if needed. Cook noodles in a pot of lightly salted boiling water until al dente about 8-9 minutes and drain. In slow cooker, add Italian sausage, pasta, cheese, pizza sauce, pasta sauce and pepperoni. Stir until well combined. Put on lid and cook on low for 2-4 hours.
