Crockpot Rice Krispies® Treats

  • 7 cups Rice Krispies® cereal
  • 7 tablespoons butter cut into pats
  • 1 10- ounce bag miniature marshmallows
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


  1. Spray crockpot with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Place pats of butter inches apart on the bottom of crockpot.
  3. Add marshmallows and salt.
  4. Cook on low for two hours or high for one hour until butter and marshmallows have melted and mixture is bubbling and edges are golden.
  5. Gently stir in Rice Krispies® cereal until mixed well.
  6. Work the mixture into a rectangle shape to fit the pan.
  7. Let cool for five minutes.
  8. Cut in squares and serve.

Recipe Notes

After stirring in the Rice Krispies® be gentle with the mixture making sure not to press down too hard to flaten when manipulating them to fit into the dish. Flattening them too much is what causes a hard treat that can scrape the roof of your mouth!
