This 2016, I was determined to get my health and fitness back! I had done so great and kept up a very healthy lifestyle in 2015…UNTIL NOVEMBER! So, I figured the New Year was a perfect time to reset my taste buds and clean up all the junk I had been allowing in my diet. Also, I was determined to not let anything keep me from doing 45-60 min of exercise a day. I needed a New Years Health and Fitness Challenge! And you know what? It has worked!!! I am feeling amazing, I have lost all the weight I put on during those 8 weeks, and I can notice a significant change in my energy (I no longer need that afternoon cup of coffee!)
The 10 Day Holiday Detox is a great plan and is part 1 of the Challenge. It will jump start your path to wellness and has been such an easy plan to stick to. I will post before and after pics as well as my full 10 day meal plan on Thursday! scary and exciting : )
This Thursday starts part 2 of 3 of the New Years Health and Fitness Challenge. It is another 10 days. You will continue to eat:
- Vegetables
- Fruit
- Nuts
- Tea
- Water
BUT you get to add:
- Lean Protein:
- Chicken
- Fish
- Eggs: HOORAY for EGGS! This is the one thing I have missed : )
- Coffee!
You will still need to avoid:
- Alcohol
- Dairy
- Wheat
- Soy
- Refined Carbs
- Refined Sugar
For your WORKOUT, I want you to continue to do 45-60 min of cardio 5-6 days a week, BUT add on strength training 2 days a week. You can take a class that involves weights 2 days and get 2 full body workouts in. You can do your own thing in the gym with weights and do 1 day upper body, 1 day lower body, or 2 days full body. Here is a great full body workout right here! You will now start building muscle, while continuing to burn fat. The protein you are adding to your diet will help also.
I know this might seem hard, but please stick with it! It is worth it and by then end of these 30 days you will look and feel incredible!!
