Ice Skating at Avalon

Hi friends! I hope you’re having an awesome week and are ready for FRI-YAY! This has been one busy week, I know I am ready to kick back and relax! Last weekend, we got to experience the outdoor ice skating rink at The Avalon in Alpharetta and we had such a blast.

I got to teach my niece, Madison, how to ice skate and I even got Knox out on the ice with trainer skates and he loved it! Although, it’s not Rockefeller Center, it’s so fun to have a space like this in our back yard to create such special memories. They even have a neon skate tonight that benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities, which is my college sorority, ADPi’s philanthropy! If you are local, you should take the kids this weekend before it closes.

We ate brunch at Bantam + Biddy, which was SO delish, then headed to the rink to do some skating and within minutes, I was already wore out! I can’t remember the last time I ice skated and knew it would be hard, but it was exhausting! There were some close calls, but I didn’t fall down once. Call it pride or my competitive side, or even both, but I was not going to allow myself to!!!We did some shopping and hit some stores like Kendra Scott, where my sister picked up this new Rayne necklace in Ivory Mother of Pearl and I got to try on the Naomi ring that I have been eyeing and just purchased online! I am so obsessed!

What are you Empresses up to this weekend? Whatever it is, I hope you stay warm and have a blast! Fred is heading to Vegas and I am having a staycation in the city, where I am going to check-in and enjoy a spa day, focus on writing my book, and relax with Netflix and of course, wine! I will be cozied up with my warmest PJ’s, a heavenly bed and a good glass of red wine! I know I’m going off the detox, but like I told Kate, I’m a rule breaker…always have been and always will be!!!
