Happy Friday, Empresses! Phew, what a two week’s it has been! Fred has been traveling non-stop. He came home for the weekend, and I got to walk in a fun charity fashion show in this floral print maxi romper, and then on Monday he was back on the road again for a full week of travel. He got home today, and we can finally resume some normalcy in this household!

I was honored and humbled to be asked to walk in The Ivy Lane, a local boutique’s, 2nd Annual Charity Fashion Show this past weekend. Ivy Lane is one of my favorite places to shop, because they carry high end designers like Free People and PPLA, but also Julie the owner has a heart of gold. It’s so convenient and is not just full of the latest fashion trends, but also gifts galore. So, you can pop in and grab a gift for a friend like my favorite accessories by MudPie to a must have Lilly Pulitzer cooler.

It never fails though, if you go in to Ivy Lane, you’re coming out with something. So many cute pieces like this MINKPINK dress, which is one of my favorite looks from last year, or the other tunic that I wore in this year’s fashion show in pink, and to the Art Meso fashion show last year in blue.Pink lace tunic with black Michael Kors fringe sandalsThe fashion show was such a huge success to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Sources of Strength (SOS) for our local high schools. Our little community has been heavily affected, as so many others have, with the loss of precious lives from teen suicide and drug overdose. When we all found out that where we live is leading the nation in the amount of deaths of children due to this cause, it was a strong desire to want to help. I am truly passionate about investing in our children and breaking the silence. I want them to know how much they are loved, and that there is always someone to talk to no matter how bad things may seem. Ivy Lane Charity Fashion Show benefiting American Foundation Suicide Prevention It was such a fun afternoon filled with beautiful girls and ladies, hearing testimonies and seeing the glory of God’s works. No matter how difficult this life can be, there is grace and redemption in every story. I can’t wait to see how He uses this money to help change and redeem the lives of those that were lost here in East Cobb. I could feel the His presence all day, and it was truly beautiful how He brought us all together to help save lives and fulfill His good purpose.   For everyone, it was such a fun afternoon getting our hair and makeup done by local salons, and dressing up in the trendiest threads! I chose to wear this amazing floral print maxi romper by Somedays Lovin, a brand I have fallen head over heels for! So many of you have been asking where you can buy it. Ivy Lane sold out, but you can get one above by just clicking the link for less than $100! It truly is such a feminine and unique piece that your closet needs! I got so many compliments on it!

I’ve always known how difficult motherhood is, but these past few weeks have really opened my eyes to how hard it REALLY is. Being a mom to a child that was diagnosed with pediatric cancer will put that in perspective quickly. However, this weekend, seeing a mom who lost her daughter to suicide this past New Year’s Eve, and meeting a new friend who is now a widow with three boys under the age of three, was a less than gentle reminder of how tough motherhood {and life} truly is. Go check out Brittany’s story here. The beautiful part is that God’s grace wins every time and no matter how big our struggle is, if you have faith, God will restore all that is broken and change it into something amazing.

Always remember, Empresses, that you are so loved SO much and as always thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by! I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
