Cesca Nelo FW15 Fashion Launch

I was so honored to be invited to my first fashion show by the incredibly talented designer, and now my sweet and soulful friend, Francesca Nelo.

Cesca is huge part of Atlanta’s vibrant, emerging fashion community, and she has an immense background and dedication to the industry. From modeling and fashion blogging, to launching her first major fashion entrepreneurship, Cesca is taking the fashion community by storm with her love for fashion and art and her amazing eye for international fashion trends.

That coupled with her beautiful spirit is proving that this talent will be leaving her mark with beauty and creativity from the sidewalk to the catwalk in no time at all! The invite came at the perfect time, because it happened to be the weekend that I was celebrating my birthday with my favorite blogger babe, Casi at How You Wear It, so it became the perfect evening to recreate an episode of Sex In The City with some of my favorite girlfriends!

My sweet friend Casi, had already set up a fun day, and the invitation from Cesca to see the launch of her line was the icing on the cake. I was treated like royalty by Casi, my hubby (who was in on the whole thing!), my HS bestie Becky,  and CE’s site contributor, Kate. It started with a surprise Blow Out at The Dry Bar and then immediately off to the St. Regis for check-in to have our make-up done by Danina Nicole Makeup Artistry. The Dry Bar - Avalon - Atlanta - Hair Salon - Crockpot EmpireWe popped {several} bottles of champagne and got dressed for the cocktail event. I felt like it was my wedding day all over again and we had such a fun time dressing up together, laughing, listening to rap music, laughing, talking about boys, laughing some more and remembering what it feels like to just be US, without the cares that come along with day to day life. A photographer even showed up to take pictures for the blog! It was truly a moment that next to my wedding day made me feel like a total smoke show!Poppin Bottles - Celebrate - Crockpot Empire Champagne - Moet - Crockpot EmpireFab'rik - Chloe & Isabel - Crockpot EmpireSt. Regis Hotel - Atlanta - Holiday - Christmas - Crockpot Empire IMG_0336Friends - Crockpot Empire - Sequins - Cocktail Attire Then off to dinner at King & Duke for a birthday dinner and a delicious meal with cocktails and birthday love from the staff and my girlfriends! The most special sentiment of this part of the night is that my sweet Becky’s dog, who I absolutely adored was named Duke, and she picked the restaurant because of its special meaning to us!King + Duke - Atlanta Restaurant - Crockpot Empire Birthday Dinner - King + Duke - AtlantaAfter dinner we made our way to the Atlanta Ballroom for the Fashion Show and saw the beautiful models working the Cesca Nelo line! There were three dresses that I thought were show stoppers, including the design that Cesca herself was wearing! I met so many wonderful women and men in the Atlanta Social Scene, who I can’t wait to work with!

The night didn’t end there, but I will leave the details in the diary. We took UBER around the city and made memories that I will never forget. Sometimes, you just need a night out with the girls to remember the young girl you once were.

And then the clock turned midnight and back to the The St. Regis we went for our carriage to turn back into a pumpkin, but our heels to ALWAYS remain glass slippers!

So, if you are young or old, or trying to find where you fit in in between, always remember that girlfriends that love Jesus are diamonds that help you and your soul grow closer to The Lord. Let’s stop judging and being jealous of one another, and instead focus on helping build each other up, because in God’s Kingdom we all have a special purpose and place here on earth.

Let’s focus on lifting one another up, bringing out the best in one another, and always be the iron strong enough, confident enough and loving enough to sharpen the friends that are strategically and divinely placed into our lives.

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17
