We went through so much with Knox and his battle with Pediatric Cancer, but thankfully through grace and perseverance, that experience has also brought many gifts and blessings.
Although, it was not the journey we would have chosen, it is still the journey that was chosen for us. We have met some of the most beautiful people and organizations that have done so much for us and invited us to some of the most magnificent events.
This weekend was ART MESO, an International Art and Fashion Exhibition, benefiting Make-A-Wish Georgia (you can read Knox’s wish story here). My friends and I attended the high fashion runway and revolutionary human art show Saturday night and I got to walk my first red carpet alongside of people like Supermodel Devin LJ Clark, from America’s Next Top Model and the sponsor of the event, the talented Eugene Mosely. It was so fun and an unforgettable experience. Next time, I will make sure I get a picture to document the moment! I’m still learning!!!

Make-A-Wish Georgia fulfilled 14-year-old Zaire Strickland’s wish to be an aspiring fashion designer, and she was highlighted at the show! She teamed up with Le Fashion Lab to create her own fashion line to present at the show Saturday. She strutted her stuff down that runway in her clothing line, Embellished Rebel, among other unique collections of human art and runway extraordinaire at the W Hotel.
I wore this amazing lace tunic care of Ivy Lane Boutique in Marietta. It was a little chilly here, so I paired it with a leather jacket from Express to create the perfect Leather + Lace look. I love this tunic, because it can easily be dressed up or down. Pair it with some cut-off denim and cowboy boots, leggings and fringe booties, or a pair of over the knee boots in the fall!
We had so much fun and saw some amazing pieces from International designers from all across the world! I can’t wait to see all that Jennifer Sutton will bring to her amazing event next year! I hope to personally thank her one day for choosing Make-A-Wish and helping bring a positive experience through a magical wish to kids who are battling life-threatening medical conditions.
